Jade continued performing in clubs, universities, theatres and folk clubs, and did some radio and television work. However, Rod Edwards gave up live work with Jade, after some television programs such as Disco 2 (a forerunner of The Old Grey Whistle Test) and the American tour in June 1971, which took them to New York to play for one week at The Bitter End, with Tom Paxton and one week at The Gate of Horn in Chicago, which received an excellent review in the Chicago Times. John Wetton joined Jade at The Troubadour playing bass. John has played in many bands including Mogul Thrash, Uriah Heep, Family, Bryan Ferry Band, King Crimson, Asia, Roxy Music and Jack Knife.

During the tour, Jade did several radio and TV spots.

After the tour of the USA, two more singles were recorded, Joni Mitchell's Big Yellow Taxi and James Taylor's Carolina In My Mind. Neither were released at the time, but are included on the re-issued CD and LP of the album.

Jade finally split in the autumn of 1971, before the second American tour. Marian and Dave auditioned for new musicians, and set up The Marian Segal Band and continued playing universities, theatres and folk clubs. They also toured with Labi Siffre and Peter Sarsted, and did a six week BBC television series with Sydney Carter.
